HomeMitsubishi Evolution IX Exhaust System  Motorsport Logic exhaust systems have been carefully designed to achieve maximum power and torque, whilst retaining a street legal note. The Evolution IX system has been tested at a low 89db without compromising the final power output. Motorsport Logic actually engineers exhaust systems with this in mind: the exhaust must retain a stealthy appearance to detract unwanted attention; the system must fit every time, produce the best possible power without exceeding legal sound limits yet sport a nice note for driving pleasure! The materials used to build the exhaust system have been accurately researched for longevity and reliability not just presentation. For example the system utilises 409 Stainless steel tubes, the tube is then CNC bent to exact measurements in one single piece ensuring precise fitment with no joins. 409 Stainless Steel is specifically designed for automotive use and is commonly used by new car manufacturers. It resists corrosion caused by atmosphere and exhaust gases and has excellent resistance to heat. Some grades of Stainless steel when exposed to thermal expansion and contraction generated by hot exhaust gases can cause hardening making the metal fatigue causing cracking. 409 lessens distortion that may cause these failures. 409 Stainless Steel should not be confused with Mild Steel as 409 does have a slight amount of magnetism. The Motorsport Logic exhaust system utilises 8mm thick, Mild Steel Flanges that are MIG welded for extra strength. . The system retains the factory swivel joint from the factory turbo whereas most other systems on the market use a universal flex joint with a corrugated inner that disrupts exhaust gas flow thus hindering performance. A Stainless steel constructed metal catalytic converter is used that has the potential to flow 500+HP as tested. Further down the exhaust is the polished Stainless Steel resonator that greatly helps perfect the exhaust note. At the very end the polished oval Muffler has been custom designed and manufactured to obtain the best possible note without compromising the vehicles performance. A 4" angle cut Stainless Steel polished tip finishes the system of nicely without overpowering the EVO IX's unique lines. The system is finished off in titanium heat resistant paint standard or silver ceramic coating optional.   The Mitsubishi EVO IX exhaust system can be fitted in less than 1 hour and comes complete with gaskets and high tensile fasteners. The system improves power at the wheels by 20~25 kw's on a stock EVO IX with no other modifications at the very same boost level and requires no ECU tuning/ECU modification or boost alterations that sometimes can be experienced in some brands of exhausts.  Add a Flash tune using Motorsport Logic's "Tune-Logic" and your EVO IX will gain an additional 20~25 kw's totalling a massive 40~50 kw gain at the wheels.
